Foremark weekly report week ending 9th September 2018

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

Weather conditions and a drop in water temperatures has allowed us to resume the stocking at Foremark with River Gwash Fish Farm stocking on Wednesday of trout averaging 2lb, however prior to stocking on Tuesday the rod average on Monday pre stocking was 7.9

Since Stocking on Tuesday 3.7 & Wednesday 5.5

The weeks weather comprised of cloud, drizzle, some rain and sunny periods. The water temperature crept up to 18 degrees centigrade and then settled down at 17 degrees centigrade. Number 1 buoy to number 2 buoy and beyond to the aerators and number 3 buoy continue to be the hot spots. Significant to watch out for are wind lanes across the reservoir since these tend to produce the fish. A boat still offers the significant advantage to the angler.

Mr D Wilton caught 4 from a boat on a black gnat on Monday. On Tuesday the bag of fish for the week was caught by Allen Topping a who landed 20 to the boat primarily on an orange blob fished sub surface with a medium/fast retrieve. He caught primarily in the hot spot areas and within the cascade. On On Friday Scotty Wilson caught 12 to the boat whilst Paul Walker returned a catch of 8 fish. On Saturday Ricky Cotterill recorded a catch of 10 fish noting the fish were basically on the water surface and he used various flies. On Sunday a last 4-hour bank angler caught 1 fish off of the dam wall near the white post using a hare’s ear nymph.

Weekly Draw: A free to enter weekly draw is held for all anglers, with the winner receiving a voucher for a free boat. This week’s winner is Mr Alistair Read of West Bridgford.

Tuition Days: The tuition website has been updated with a new blog page /reports section and the first post is just an introduction to the page and what it will offer in the future.
