The fishing during the last fortnight of July followed the same as it was for the first two weeks of the month, difficult – challenging with the rod average for the last two weeks at 0.7
As you would expect the aerator & cascade have produced best with the morning session been the best time to fish, with the middle of the carvers arm producing a few fish.
12 year old Conor Redfern caught 3 trout on a tequila booby drifting from the centre of the carvers arms into the main basin
Fast sinking lines with blobs, booby & sparklers have caught best although on some days especially with cloud cover dries have pulled a few trout.
Water temperature has been 22c+ although with this current break in the heatwave it has dropped to 20c
As we always recommend contact the lodge for latest report & advice before you travel.
