Foremark weekly report week ending 02/10/2016

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

Another steady weeks fishing, we currently have very good water clarity and water levels are slowly rising with plenty of fry moving and being harassed by shoals of hungry trout. Water temperatures are finally starting to drop this in turn is starting to trigger some intense fry feeding around the pontoon carvers arm and the cascade.

Regular Mr J Scragg took 11 trout to his boat on Monday with the majority falling to a brown cdc fly’s around the cascade. Tuesday was a good mix of dry fly and fry pattern taking most the fish however season permit holder Mr P Walker took 12 trout from hut point on buzzers and diawl bach. Dave holt also fished the bank and had 6 very nice trout on hoppers, while Phil Roper had a bonus 18lbs pike from the bank on his fry pattern and floating line. Derby county angler Mr Honess fished the sand bar in carvers arm on Wednesday taking 4 trout to 3lbs 6oz. Thursday was one of those days with a lot of follows and plucks and lost fish season permit holder Mr J Fogg took 6 to his boat on bobbies fished high in the water. By Friday the fish were a little more willing as season permit holder Mr S Wilson netted 12 to his boat again on fry imitations. Derby county anglers Mr P Webb and Mr C Wilkins took 10 fish to their boat on Saturday. Sunday also fished well Mr Baker netted 8 fish to his boat on cat’s whisker and dawson’s olive while Mr Wilson landed 7 fish on his afternoon off the bank in front of the lodge on slow glass fly line and a white minky booby.
