Foremark weekly report week ending 18/09/2016

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

A steady weeks fishing last week with sunny and bright conditions for most the week. Our water clarity is very good at present with plenty of fresh water running from the cascade. The water levels are still good with plenty of room on the sandy shores.

Bank anglers are managing to get some reasonable catches from the banks on dry fly and fry patterns although the boats are still offering the best sport.

On Monday Mr J Cuts took 10 fish to his boat on a mix of fly’s including black snake, appetiser, buzzer and hoppers. Tuesday Mr S Wison was fishing the cascade and took 10 trout on hoppers and daddies. Mr Rowland and his boat partner took 15 fish fishing near to the cascade. Saturday Mr Bailey boated 10 trout using orange foam hopper and cdc hoppers. On Sunday season permit holder Mr R Cotterill landed 5 trout to just over4lbs using a midge tip line and red nemo crunchers near the tower.

Kirby Fly Fishers held a boat match on Sunday with 10 rods for a rod average of 2.7. The overall winner of the match was Luke Parker with a weight of 18lbs 3oz for a bag limit of 8 fish. He also took the prize for the biggest fish (3lbs 2oz).
