Foremark weekly report week ending 04/09/2016

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

Another good week, with some very good fishing in the later part of the week after the sun began to lose it’s strength. Rod average again 3.7

The banks have improved through the week with Roy Southworth taking 3 on Thursday in just over two hours. Monday was good with Tony & Ruth Kirk boating 7 and Mr Vince Aronica  landing 9.

Tuesday saw Mr Coley and Mr Taft taking 6 fish to the boat on probably the slowest day. On Wednesday although still on the slow side the Diawl Bach was the fly to be on with both Richard Pearson and Scott Wilson landing 3 each in short sessions.

Thursday Mr J Woffenden  was back on the water boating 6 trout on Gold head damsels and black cormorants and Roy Southworth landed another 3 from the pontoon in just two hours.

Friday saw Mr Scragg back on the lake taking 14 fish on brown and black cdc’s, Mr Baily boated 8 on Orange Hoppers and Black ‘Bobs Bits’ Messr’s Graney and Vorley both boating 7, Messr’s Burton and Walker accounted for 6 each but top of the tree was Mr Wilson who accounted for 20 on dry Bibio’s’ making the rod average for Friday 5.8.

Saturday fished not quite as well but DCAC members Webb & Wilkins put 9 in the boat for the morning session. Sunday it was the turn of Messrs Sail & Eastam who boated 10 in a morning session, and Mr Cooper, again in a morning session boated 6 on black hoppers and bibio’s.

A much more satisfactory week, good number of resident fish showing and with the temperature dropping and the water levels remaining static, it will get better still.
