Foremark weekly report week ending 228/08/2016
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
A much better week this week, with some very good fishing during the first part of the week, boosting our weekly rod average to 3.7
Not surprising that the 2016 season is proving to be our best fishing season to date with the current season’s rod average at a very healthy 4.7
With the hottest part of the summer behind us & with the autumn soon to be knocking at the door we are looking forward to continued good fishing through September, October & to our closing date November 30th
This past week the banks have started to produce some fish, although the consistent sport all week was from the boats.
Monday was the best day of the week with both Mr S Wilson and Mr J Sragg taking over 20 fish to their boats, with Mr Wilson using DI3 line and lures around number three buoy and Mr Scragg using floating line and an assortment of dry fly’s. Season permit holder Mr R Southworth reported frantic fishing during a two hour session from the bank on floating line and white booby. Tuesday Mr Coley and Mr Taft took 12 fish to the boat on muddler. On Wednesday season permit holder Mr P Walker landed 5 fish from the bank. Thursday Mr J Scragg was back on the water boating another 11 trout on brown dry fly’s. Saturday fished well for the boat anglers up until the storm arrived. Sunday it was the turn of the bank, with Mr A Scagg and Mr P Scagg banking 9 fish on diawl bach from Verdons point.
With improving conditions and another stocking due this week our good fishing should continue.
