Foremark weekly report week ending 01/05/2016

With a rod average of 4.6 last week the good fishing continues.


Table toping fishing continued this last week, with the fish staying deep with the chilly weather but still eager to take a well presented fly. Mr Hudson a regular bank angler was out on Monday and banked 19 fish on booby. Tuesday saw Mr Tom Johnson land 16 fish off the sailing club pontoon while Thornton member Mr K Coley and his boat partner Mr R Taft netted 30 fish to their boat on sinking lines and shellbacks. On Wednesday Mr J Sgragg and his boat partner Mr K Scragg boated 28 fish on red and orange buzzers. On Thursday it was the turn of season permit holder Mr B Burton turn to get amounts the fish with16 on orange fritz with an intermediate line from the bank. With very strong winds on Friday Mr S Wilson ventured out flamingo bay and took 9 fish on damsels and hares ears. Saturday Mr K Noble and boat partner Mr D Williams took 28 fish on black buzzers fished at 18 feet near sunblest bay. Season permit holders Mr B Jamison and Mr C Prior netted 20 fish to their boat near bramble bay on Sunday.

From Monday 11th April 2016 we have negotiated with our landlord STW a trial period to the 31st November 2016 which allows us to bank fish along the first 400yds of the DAM WALL
Certain restriction will be in place for anglers fishing the Dam Wall, they must not disturb any of the stones facing the dam, lifejackets will need to be worn supplied if required at the lodge, access on & off the dam wall will be from one area (the pontoon / lodge end) which will be clearly marked
