Foremark weekly report week ending 24/04/2016

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

With a rod average of 8.1 last week the superb fishing continues.

Lures and boobies are still the fly to go to first thing, fishing them slow and deep, as the day warms up switch to damsels or buzzers.

The week started off in fantastic form with the rod average at 11.2 for Monday and Tuesday. Bramble bay and sunblest bay fishing really well from the banks derby county anglers Mr R Clarkson and Mr J Chilton landing over 20 fish between them the boats were just as impressive. Flamingo bay and Verduns point have also fished very well this week from the banks. Boats have been picking up fish from most areas with the wires Bramble bay and the cascade and flamingo being superb by the end of the week some good catches were being reported from heron point and heron bay.Looks like the fish are now starting to move so the areas around the dam wall along the Ticknall bank may be worth a try over the next few days.

The winner of this week’s prize draw of a free all day boat voucher went to Mr M Marriott of Hemington Derby.
