Foremark weekly report week ending 17/04/2016

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

10.6 rod average, outstanding fly fishing sport at Foremark this past week

Not surprising with such a high rod average its not easy to pick out the best areas as the whole reservoir seems to be producing, but the sailing club and flamingo bay areas are doing exceptionally well for both bank and boat, with carvers arm and Bramble bay and gorse all as the 10.6 rod average suggests continues to fish well.

With the colder and at times frosty mornings the fish have been yet again hard on the bottom during the early part of the day with sinking lines and boobies working well but as the day warms up the fish can be taken readily on buzzers.

Tuesday season permit holder Mr P. Walker reported having a absolutely brilliant day fishing from the bank taking 14 fish on buzzers, while Mr M. Gately and his boat Partner Mr G Mitchell boated 40 fish .

Kirby Fly Fishers Held a 8 fish boat match on Sunday with 13 rods catching a total of 90 fish for a match average of 6.9 The winner on the day was Mr C. Partridge weighing in his eight fish limit for 18LBS 13OZ He also took the best fish of the match a rainbow at 3LBS 2OZ.

The winner of this week’s prize draw of a free all day boat voucher went to Mr R. Coles from Shepshed Leicestershire.
