Foremark weekly report week ending 13/03/2016
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
Fishing has continued to be very good again last week with some very good numbers being landed on both the banks and the boats. Again the normal early season lures have worked really well (black and green, cats whiskers, damsels). Intermediate and floating lines have worked best, however by Sunday the fish have dropped a bit deeper with the cooler nights. The banks around Flamingo bay and Verdons point and the sailing club slipway have produced a lot of fish while the boats have been getting plenty of action between Hut point and number 8 buoy also in the area in front of the lodge. On Monday of this week fish were taking black and green buzzers from inside Flamingo bay producing some exciting action for some anglers.
Best fish so far was a stunning 8Lb plus rainbow caught from the bank by Mr Ian Jobe. While Mr Lawrence had the biggest brown trout of the week a 6Lbs 13oz specimen which was one of his 8 fish.
Coppenhall FF held their annual bank match on Saturday with 28 anglers taking part and catching a total of 318 fish for a stunning rod average of 11.3. Overall winner was Phil Dixon with 10Lbs 13oz for his 4 fish Mr M Gregory weighed in the largest fish a 4Lbs rainbow.
The winner of this week’s prize draw of a free all day boat voucher went to Mr Bob Taft from Earl Shilton.
