Foremark weekly report week ending 06/03/2016

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

Another tremendous start to the season at Foremark with over 2,000 fish being caught.

Both bank and boat anglers have found plenty of sport in most of the normal early season areas. Most line types have worked well with floating lines just edging it. The usual black and green lures along with damsels, cats whiskers fished from the bank have done well however intermediate lines and sinking lines have been best from the boats. Verdons point, sailing club bay and the area just in front of the lodge have been popular. Bramble and sun blessed bay have been very good at times. The boats have found good sport around number 8buoy around the cascade and gorse bay.

Best fish so far was a stunning 8Lbs 4oz brown caught by Mr J Thubrn on a pink fritz (this fish was returned) Mr M Smith has also netted a 8Lbs rainbow from the bank. Over the last six days there has been numerous catches of 20 plus fish again to both the banks and the boats. We have received numerous positive comments over the last few days about the quality and size of the fish. With the average size around the 2Lbs mark

The winner of this week’s prize draw of a free all day boat voucher went to Mr David Coe from Long Eaton.

Don’t forget to pick up your loyalty card from the lodge, once you have purchased 10 of the same permit, your next visit of that permit option is FREE valid at all three fisheries, Thornton-Foremark-Draycote
