Foremark continues to fish well for some rods finding the right fly and areas have been the key drifting and covering as much water as possible and being prepared to swap and change your approach has put bonus fish to the net. The fish still high in the water and moving around from tight into the cascade to open water in the middle of the main basin and around number 3 buoys. Meddlers’ hoppers and cdcs have worked well and black lures on intermediate lines.

Season permit holder Mr J Cravangan fished Thursday morning and took 5 trout to 5lbs on dry’s While Thornton member Mr K Coley took 12 fish along with his boat partner Mr Taft on muddler’s. Things really picked up on Sunday with season permit holder Mr R Cotterill netting 14 on hoppers Mr Reid also had a good day tacking 11 fish on a mix of orange baby doll and black daddy’s.

The Graham Tagg memorial boat pairs match is on Sunday the 20th of September the competition is due to start at 9.00, 16.00 weigh in( a total of 8 fish to the boat) .

Good evening rises are still a frequent occurrence and therefore the last 4 hour permit is an opportunity not to be missed. (1 fish kill catch and release permit for only £10.00 and a boat for an additional £10.00)

With the dry fly’ showing now some amazing sport can be had. So clean off those floating lines and stock up on your fly floatant. For more up to date information call the lodge on 01283 703202
