Foremark’s weekly report week ending 06/09/2015

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

The fishing has been a changeable this last week with diawl bach and damsels working well at the start of the week then Tuesday and Wednesday it was a case of open your fly box and try anything different or out of the ordinary. Thursday and Friday the fish were back on to daddies and small lures pulled through the surface with a lot of follows and plucks and by the weekend sinking line and tadpoles worked for some while others did well on black peacock and cdcs.

Some good fish have been netted this week the best of which was a 6lbs rainbow caught by Mr Burandt which was returned. Season permit holder Mr S Wilson took a superb 5lbs rainbow (grown on) as part of his 9 fish bag. Mr M Reid also netted a rainbow at 4lbs 12oz. Mr B Nadin and his boat partner Mr N Brown netted 15 fish to their boat on Sunday.

We will be holding the Graham Tagg memorial boat pairs match on Sunday the 20th of September and bookings have increased. Therefore if you wish to fish in this competition it is advisable you do so quickly by telephoning the Lodge to book a boat.

Good evening rises are still a frequent occurrence and therefore the last 4 hour permit is an opportunity not to be missed. (1 fish kill catch and release permit for only £10.00 and a boat for an additional £10.00)

With the dry fly’ showing now some amazing sport can be had. So clean off those floating lines and stock up on your fly floatant. For more up to date information call the lodge on 01283 703202
