Foremark’s weekly report week ending 28/06/15

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

A improvement in the fishing during the last week with the weather being more stable and fish moving in open water and around the boils. The boils have been producing some very nice hard fighting fish to mainly sinking lines and black lures (snakes and humongous). For open water crunchers and diawl bach and black hoppers have also worked. During the early mornings pin fry feeding along the margins have at times been quite instance all be it for short periods.

Season permit holder Mr J Cravagan netted 19 fish from the bank on Verdons point on Monday to shipman’s buzzer to 4lbs. Mr S Wilson took 8 fish on black snakes in the boils on Tuesday including fish of 6.8lbs and a fin perfect rainbow at 5lbs. During Mr Wilsons second visit of the week on Thursday he took anther10 fish from the open basin and the boils  Friday it was diawl bach fished on a midge tip line that produced the best results then over the week end crunchers and dries was the way to go.

Water levels are good again this week with room on the banks. Prospects look good for more evening rise’s this week with the warm weather forecast.

With the dry fly’s starting to show now some amazing sport can be had. So clean off those floating lines and stock up on your fly floatant. For more up to date information call the lodge on 01283 703202
