Foremark’s weekly report week ending 03/05/15

Telephone Number: 01283 703202

A real mix of methods and fly’s this week but the rod average remains constant again this week 5.1 again. However the boats have produced more fish either drifting across carvers arm or anchored up near the cascade or gorse bay. The banks have still fished around bramble bay but the fishing has been sporadic with some anglers struggling but others doing well. Monday boats anchored up on sinking lines worked best, Tuesday season permit holder Mr B Burton took 14 fish from the bank on floating line and black and white frtiz and Mr P Walker took 14 fish to his boat including a 5lbs 8 oz and 3 3lbs plus rainbows on sinking line. Wednesday Mr P Harding and his boat partner Mr J Perry netted over 40 fish using blobs and nymphs just under the surface. Thursday Mr J Greasley banked 11 fish on sub apps. By Friday buzzers and bloodworm worked best from the banks and green nymphs on a floating line was the choice for Mr. J Scagg as he boated 11 fish during a morning session. Saturday the boats really out fished the banks again on a variety of methods and flys best catch of the day was Mr I Bukley and his boat partner netting well over 40 fish to the boat. Sunday was buzzer day bank fished well on buzzers, season permit holder Mr R Cotterill banked 12 fish in four hours was the best catch of the day.
