Fishing at Foremark has been steady over the last week although some have found it to be challenging .with the cold snap and frost and heavy mist and fog during Monday Tuesday and Wednesday rod numbers were low which was reflected in the results, however with the upturn on Thursday the fishing really improved with a rod average of 3. The fish began to show in the cascade and flamingo bay. Mr D Vipond tempted 11 fish to his boat using a mix of intermediate line and a damsel then in the afternoon he switched to a DI7 line and booby. Mr P Whetton also took 6 fish from the bank on a slow sink line and a black gold head lure.
The fur and feather bank match was fished on Sunday by 15 anglers for a match average of 1.4 Mr P Kelly took first prize of a Christmas hamper for his four fish limit for a weight of 11LBs this also included the biggest fish of the match a 4LBs 2oz rainbow for which he also won a bottle of scotch whisky. Second prize six bottles of wine was won by season permit holder Mr J Wooffinden for his 4 fish weighing in at 9LBs 13oz. Third prize two bottles of carver and glasses was won by Mr I Buckley for his three fish for a weight of 4LBs 14oz.
