Foremark’s weekly report week ending 27/07/2014
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
It would be fair to say – it’s been a testing week here at Foremark. With the bright sunshine, high water temperatures and, in the main, still and calm conditions catches have been down and are best described as difficult. However on Monday season ticket member Scott Wilson attached himself to 11 fish using a sweep line. J Woodward had 6, B Fields caught 5 and John Wooffinden 4 on what turned out to be the best day of the week. Tuesday saw R Price catch 7 on his D C A C permit on Orange Fritz in the boils area. Nearly all the fish coming from 12 to 16 feet of water but just an odd fish coming to dries in the late evening. Foremark Fly Fishers had a match here on Sunday afternoon from 2pm till 9 won by Guy Hilliard but Ric Saccone topped the catch list landing 6 fish. Forecast for the coming week says more of the same but some cloud cover and slightly fresher and lower temperatures may mean a drop in water temperature and better results should be evident. With the late evening being probably the best time the last 4 hours ticket looks quite attractive.
