Foremark’s weekly report week ending 29/06/2014
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
Fishing at Foremark this past week has been a bit of a challenging. The warmer water temperatures mixed with the bright sun light has not helped, however the few rain showers during the week should help to clear the water.
For the first part of the week D I lines and boobies was the way to go as Mr S Wilson showed taking 8 fish during a morning boat session fishing near the valve tower using a homemade white lure he also took the best fish of the week a supper 6lb fin perfect over wintered rainbow. (Well done). By Thursday the fish had moved up a little and a midge tip line was the way to go using a damsel and cruncher combo.
Following a few showery cooler days, a slight drop in water temperature and the trout responded on Saturday giving us the best day of the week with fish higher in the water and willing to take a range of dries, a rod average of 3.1 for the day.
Sunday was back to dry and bright conditions making the fishing more of a challenge. The water level of the reservoir is now nearing full and has reduced the bank fishing. The bank fishing has been slow over the last couple of weeks, with the boats doing better.
