Foremark’s weekly report week ending 02/06/2014
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
The weather is again the main story of the week with bright conditions and hot sun is very good for sun tans and not so good for trout fishing. Sinking lines have been the answer during the past week. The fish have moved out this week and were feeding well and being preoccupied with canis hatches so DI7 with fry imitations have worked best. Hut point has held some fish that were willing to take some small dry flys during short periods of the day. The good news is however that the boils are now on and beginning to pull the fish in so the prospects are looking better for the week’s ahead.
Errwood Fly Fishers held their annual boat match on Sunday with 19 rods, for a match average of 2.3 the winner on the day was Jamie Mason with 4 fish for 12LBs 8oz including the best fish of the match 3LBs 2oz rainbow. (Well done Jamie on a challenging day).
Best fish of the week goes to Mr C Allsopp for a stunning looking 4LBs 8oz rainbow. (well done).
