Foremark’s weekly report week ending 08/06/2014
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
Foremark continues to fish well during the warm and unsettled weather with fish showing well in the afternoons and willing to take a variety of dry flies. The best approach has been to fish diawl bach and buzzers in the mornings then switch to dries in the afternoons. Carvers arm down towards the wires still continues to hold a lot of fish with Bramble and sun blest bay still doing well. The fish in general are now slowly moving out from the shoreline into more open water. Verdons point and Flamingo bay are still producing fish at various times of the day, depending on the wind direction.
Mr D.Hardy and Mr D Taylor did well from the bank at the beginning of the week catching 16 fish between them on Diawl bach during a morning session. Season permit holder MR R.Cotterill banked 9 fish to hoppers and sedge patterns from the bank on Sunday during an afternoon session.
Colwick Fly Fishers fished a 10 rod boat match on Sunday with a rod average of 3.9 the winning rod was K Prowting with 8 fish for 14Lbs.
Kirby Fly Fishers also fished their boat match on Sunday with 14 rods netting 26 fish for a rod average of 1.8. Top rod was Martin Brown with 7 fish for 13Lbs 13oz. Best fish went to Wayne Lewin for a 3bls 13oz rainbow.
