Foremark Fishing Report Week Ending 11.05.2014
Rods: 169, Trout Taken: 312, Trout Returned: 936, Total Number of Trout Caught: 1248, Rod Average: 7.3
Foremark’s supper form continues with over 1,200 fish caught again this week plus Foremark’s biggest fish of the season 11Lbs 10oz (picture on our face book page).
The banks still continue to fish very well with bramble bay and sun blest bay still holding feeding fish, Vernon’s point and flamingo bay has also fished well again this week. The boats still continue to find some excellent fishing tight to the bank on the Ticknall side of the reservoir. The fish are continuing to move round showing in most areas near the shore. Intermediate lines teamed up with damsels or black and green and white lures or cat’s whisker continue to work well during the first part of the day then a switch to floating lines and buzzers. More anglers are having some really good catches on dry’s, hawthorns, black gnats, and spiders, daddies and hoppers.
Best fish of the week goes to Day permit Mr A Henderson from Ashby for his stunning 11LBs 10oz rainbow caught on a black daddy on floating line in flamingo bay. A mention also goes to season permit holders Mr R Cotterill and Mr D Murphy for 30 plus fish to the boat on Buzzers and damsels fished on a midge tip line.
