Foremark Fishing Report Week Ending 13.04.2014

Rods: 165, Trout Taken: 310, Trout Returned: 828, Total Number of Trout Caught: 1138,                 Rod Average: 6.8

Yet another splendid week’s fishing here at Foremark and another week with well over one thousand fish being landed. The areas and the tactics still remain the same as the previous two weeks. Bramble bay and Sun blest showing the way and holding the majority of the fish. Some of the bigger fish have started to show and feed well on the good old buzzers. The best fish of the season so far was netted by Mr Conor  Beard a superb 10LBs 6oz Rainbow this was one of a 12 fish haul from a boat opposite bramble bay  by the Gorse bush bay and was tempted with a black buzzer. Mr B Bilsland also had a bumper day taking a smashing 8LBs rainbow as part of a 16 fish haul with his boat partner also netting a 5LBs rainbow as part of his 17 fish. Mr J tomlin managed to bank a very pretty 5LBs 4oz fish.

Intermediate lines teamed up with damsels or black and green lures or cats whisker’s continue to work well during the first part of the day then a switch to floating lines and buzzers have kept the fish coming. Some of the boat anglers have also found some excellent sport anchored up of Bramble and Sunblest bay and across the other side along the Ticknall bank, using similar methods as the bank anglers. Flamingo bay and verdons point has also held plenty of feeding fish this week.
