Foremark Fishing Report Week Ending 06.04.2014 Rods: 167, Trout Taken: 381, Trout Returned: 697, Total Number of Trout Caught: 1078, Rod Average: 6.4 AS mentioned in last week’s report April has kicked off with an excellent start with over one thousand fish being landed With the slight improvement in the weather anglers found some very good fishing from the banks and the boats. Again this week plenty of catches in the teens have been reported by those that were prepared to walk round to Bramble bay and sun blest bay. This was proven by Mr I Buckley and his two fishing partners Mr G Moody and Mr V Aronice whom had a terrific day’s buzzer fishing on Sunday. Intermediate lines teamed up with damsels or black and green lures or cats whisker’s have worked well during the first part of the day then a switch to floating lines and buzzers kept the fish coming. Some of the boat anglers have also found some excellent sport anchored up of Bramble and Sunblest bay and across the other side along the Ticknall bank, using similar methods as the bank anglers. Flamingo bay and verdons point has also held plenty of feeding fish this week. With the wind in the South West the bays have fished very well. Despite the challenging weather forecast Kirby Fly Fishers, fished the first of their annual Foremark boat matches on Sunday with 10 rods catchin37 fish for a rod average of 3.7.
