Foremark Fishing Report Week Ending 30.03.2014
Rods: 132, Trout Taken: 219, Trout Returned: 587, Total Number of Trout Caught: 806, Rod Average: 6.1
March has been an excellent month for the fishing & with the clocks going forward and spring around the corner we are looking forward to good sport during April.
Last week was another good weeks fishing at Foremark although the weather was a bit cooler and at times a chilly North East wind made it uncomfortable. Despite the weather anglers found some very good fishing from the banks and the boats.
The wind direction reduced the amount of comfortable bank fishing however plenty of catches in the teens have been reported by those who persevered. Intermediate lines teamed up with damsels or black and green lures or cats whisker’s have worked well during the first part of the day then a switch to floating lines and buzzers kept the fish coming. Some of the boat anglers have found some excellent sport anchored up of Bramble and Sunblest bay with the wind behind them fishing towards the banks, again using similar methods as the bank anglers. Flamingo bay and verdons point has also held plenty of feeding fish this week.
Dont forget to renew your Environment Agency Rod Licence, either online or at the post office.
