Foremark fishing Report Week ending 09/03/2014
The week followed on from the excellent opening week end, with fish being landed from most areas of the reservoir’s shore line. With the superb weather, the fish and the anglers have been keen to make the most of it with over 2,200 fish being netted by 275 rods. A variety of fly’s and lures have been successful ,gold and hot head damsels, boobies, blobs, black and green , black fritz, and buzzers. The most productive areas have been the bank along carvers arm and the corners of both sunblest bay, Bramble bay and verdons point. The boats have also been finding some fantastic sport along the Ticknall bank and in the mouths of the bays. A range of lines have been successful this last week, slow sinking and intermediate lines, first thing then changing to floating lines during the warmer parts of the day. Buzzers fished static under the bung has worked very well for some anglers taking some large numbers of fish. Best fish of the week go to Mr A. Dawes a nice 7LB 10 oz fish on a black and green lure on intermediate line. And season permit holder Mr C. Hazeldine for a 7LB 7oz rainbow on a godhead damsel from carvers arm.
