Foremark week ending report 24/11/13

63 Rods netted 112 trout returning 56 for a rod average of 1.8

The season is now drawing to a close with the last day on Saturday 30 of November

So with the weather due to be settled for the rest of the week there is still time to get out on the water and net yourself some fresh trout for your festive season. The fishing has improved a little this passed week and the fish are continuing to show in Flamingo bay and in the bays down carvers arm the bank anglers are still doing slightly better than the boats however a few boats have found some good sport just outside Bramble Bay. Small groups of fish are patrolling around the margins and shallower areas, so the best methods are to keep mobile and fish different areas during your sessions. There continues to be plenty of fish moving around the car park area along the Ticknall bank. Slow sinking and clear intermediate lines continue to be the better option, with the shorter day lengths and the cooling of the water the trout are more willing to feed on the fry.

Big fish plaudits this week go to Mr M Barber for a bank caught rainbow of 6lbs 10oz, Mr A Burton for a 5lbs rainbow on a yellow booby, Mr W. Welch 4lbs 14oz rainbow and Mr K. Hardy for 5 bank caught rainbows for a total weight of 17lbs.

Please remember if you are fishing Saturday’s fur and feather to bring along a small prize so everybody goes home with something.

Myself and the team here at Foremark would like to thank you for your support though the season and wish you all a happy and enjoyable festive season.
