Foremark week ending report 17/11/13

78 Rods netted 95 trout returning 49 for a rod average of 1.2

Yet again the fishing has remained a little challenging for some during the week, the fish are continuing to show in Flamingo bay and in the bays down carvers arm the bank anglers are still doing slightly better than the boats. The fish appear to still be in small groups patrolling around the margins and shallower areas, so the best methods are to keep mobile and fish different areas during your sessions. There continues to be plenty of fish moving around the car park area along the Ticknall bank. Slow sinking lines continue to be the better option, with the shorter day lengths and the cooling of the water the trout are more willing to feed on the fry.

It has been another good week for the larger fish with fish up to 7lbs as Mr Mann netted 5 fish to 7lbs during his bank session on Tuesday this included a stunning looking brown on minkies and cats whisker. Season permit holder Mr W Welch netted a 5lbs 8oz fish on a green tadpole.Mr A Johnstone netted another 5lns 8oz fish on a cats whisker.Derby County angler Mr S Cierecn landed a 5lbs 12oz fish on a green fry, while season permit holder took a fin perfect rainbow also on a cats whisker.
