Foremark week ending report 27/10/13
72 Rods netted 86 trout returning 31 for a rod average of 1.2
Another mixed week of weather the fishing has been a little challenging for most of the week, the fish are now moving in most areas and starting to be more obliging for the bank anglers fishing Flamingo bay, hut point and both pontoons. The fish appeared to still be in small groups patrolling, so the best methods are to keep mobile and fish different areas during your sessions. There continues to be plenty of fish moving in Carvers arm, check the cascade if it is running clear but move up towards the dam wall if the cascade is running cloudy. Slow sinking lines have worked during the mornings then switch to floating lines in the afternoon on drier days as the fish are still in the upper layers of the water and sometimes very close to the surface. Cormorants, diawl bach, minkies and hoppers have produced the better results this week. With the shorter day lengths and the cooling of the water the trout are slowly turning on to the fry.
