Foremark week ending report 11/08/13
As the weather has cooled so the fishing has improved and this week has seen the rod averages go above 3 for the first time in a month.
104 rods have caught 315 fish with Mr B Coombes taking a 4 1/2 lb fish, Mr N Musson had a fish of 4 1/4 and John Machin a season ticket holder taking fish to 4 lb in a 15 fish catch. Clive Wilkins managed 13 fish on Sunday with the most productive area still being around the boils but as the week has progressed the cascade has shown some action.
Malc Parker has persevered on the bank and has now started to catch again with the evening being the best time.
Saturday and Sunday saw action on or near the surface with several anglers ‘Muddler fishing’ for some good results. Best flies are still the booby and the blob but Diawl bach and a numbers of black buzzers are now catching. Prospects for the week ahead are looking favourable with the weather forecast to be sunshine and showers with mid teen to low twenties temperatures. The odd Brown has been seen attacking the fry so maybe this is the time to look at the minnow and perch patterns and try to get into one of those monsters.
