Foremark week ending report 4/08/13
Last week’s fishing again was a bit of a mix with the fishing being challenging at the start of the week then showing good improvement during the end of the week. 81 rods caught 134 fish of which 43 were returned giving a rod average of 1.7.
The fishing was challenging at the start of the week with few fish showing but by Thursday as the water had cooled down a little and the fish had started to move around 9 buoy and the boils Cheshire police held a small boat match with 11 rods Dave Allen bagging his 6 fish limit and more to win the match. Staff member K.Hart fished a 3 hour evening session around the boils on a floating line booby and nymph combo to net 7 fish to 3lbs 8oz. Mr B.Perry also netted 14 fish to his boat on Sunday.
Fishing from the banks is still challenging but with the cooling weather this may change soon. Boat’s have had a mixed week but the areas around the boils and cascade are now improving. Fish are now being reported as moving between 4 and 8 feet from the surface and during dull conditions even higher and are willing to chase lures in the surface film.
