Foremark week ending report 28/07/13
Last week’s fishing was a bit of a mix with the fishing being challenging at the start of the week then showing good improvement during the middle of the week then with the stormy weather at the week end the fishing became challenging again. Final stats for the week: 101 rods caught 102 fish of which 60 were returned giving a rod average of 1.
Derby County angling club member Mr R Jeffery showed the way on Wednesday netting 13 fish to his boat fishing around the boils. Foremark season permit holder Mr S Wilson netted 11 fish drifting from between number nine buoy and the boils on Thursday using a DI 7 line and small black boobies. Mr O.Rivett stuck it out on floating line with diawl bach and hares ears and netted 4 fish to over 3lbs
With the slightly cooler weather forecast for the forth coming week I anticipate the fishing should once again show an improvement. With fry and bait fish now showing in very good numbers things are looking up for some top action once the trout switch on to this abundant food source.
