Foremark week ending report 14/07/13
Last week’s hot and bright weather has slowed the fishing with 72 rods only catching 53 fish for a rod average of 0.7 (similar to this week in 2009 hot spell).
Open water around 3 and 4 buoy have produced the most fish mainly to intermediate and sinking lines. Black and olive lures along with blobs have been the fly’s to use. Odd one or two rods have had some success with floating lines and hoppers cast to the odd rising fish.
The boils unfortunately have been out of order and this usual hot spot during the hot weather has not been available, however this situation should soon be resolved and it is expected that they will be working as normal soon. Call the fishing lodge for the best up to date information on :01283 703202.
Don’t forget our last four hour permit at only £10.00 for a one fish kill then catch and release.(This is now proving very popular on the warmer days)
