Foremark week ending report 16/06/13

The fishing remains constant again with125 rods landing 500 fish returning 308 for another good rod average of 4 (best average for this week in June for over 5 years).

Still very few fish in open water and the majority of fish still remaining close in, near the banks 30-50 yards out. Fish are continuing to fall to most line types and a range of different fly’s and methods, with buzzers, diawl bach and blobs doing best. The boats are getting the greater numbers of fish but the banks are still fishing well. All the usual areas are producing during different parts of the day. Flamingo bay, Sun blessed bay, and Bramble bay being the better areas from the bank. We have had three very good evening rises this week. The mornings and the evenings have fished best.

Wednesday Mr M Bird took 12 to his boat topped by a fin perfect 4lb brown on sinking line. Thursday saw Mr P Fitch net 20 fish from the bank during a afternoon and evening session from various areas. All so on Saturday Mr R Cotterill banked 14 fish throughout the day on floating line and a combination of damsel and diawl bach including a 3lb brown trout.

Don’t forget our last four hour permit at only £10.00 for a one fish kill then catch and release.(This is now proving very popular on the warmer days)
