Foremark week ending 26/05/13 report

Great sport continues with the fishing excellent again all week and the prospects are looking good for the week ahead. Last week saw 175 rods catch 1067 trout returning 789 fish giving a superb rod average of 6.1

The fishing from the banks still remains in form this week. The fish are continuing to take buzzers and diawl bach with even more confidence this week, dry flies and cdc’s are also starting to take fish in some areas.  Floating lines and midge tip lines are doing well.  The water level has risen a little but there is still good space on the banks for the bank anglers. The clarity of the water is very good. On the more overcast days the banks are fishing as well as the boats with fish still showing close in and feeding confidently producing catches into double figures. The boats are finding lots of fish showing in most areas along carvers arm, cascade and heron bay, in fact in most areas. Orange blobs are fairing very well specially when teamed up with diawl bach’s. Sun blest and Bramble bay along with Flamingo bay have also fished well on intermediate lines with damsels, and F.A.B blobs. Floating and midge tip lines with buzzers and diawl bach have also been productive. Some of the newly stock brown trout are showing from flamingo bay round to sun blessed bay, biggest to date 4lbs 8oz.

W.M.P. F.  fished a boat match on Thursday 12 rods netting 152 fish for a rod average of 13 with a nice rainbow of 5lbs 8oz being the best fish.

Mr C Wain Mr C Howkins and Mr D Logan all recorded fish over 5lbs

Don’t forget our last four hour permit at only £10.00 for a one fish kill then catch and release.(This is now proving very popular on the warmer days)
