Fishing report week ending 04/11/2012

Posted by & filed under Reports.

Foremark is open until 30th November

69 rods caught 322 trout, returning 188 fish for a rod average of 4.6

Good fishing continued this week with the boats doing well along Carvers arm, and drifts above and below the cascade yet again  DI 5 lines remain the preferred chose, fished with boobies and minkie boobies  and gold head damsels. Fish are continuing to still slowly move towards the banks. Sun blest and bramble bay have produced some good catches of fish from the banks but the fish remain tight to the bottom moving up to about 8feet deep during the warmer parts of the day. The water clarity is still excellent and the water level still continues to drop again this week, giving even better bank access.

Best fish of the week was caught by Mr D Hardy a 6lbs rainbow this was 1 of 8 fish he brought to the boat. Mr Delahay also netted fish of 5lbs 8oz and 4lbs in his 13 fish haul on pink and white booby.

The best bank areas still remain Bramble and Sunblest bay.
