107 rods caught 362 trout, returning 195 fish for a rod average of 3.3

Good fishing continued this week with the boats doing well along Carvers arm, and drifts above and below the cascade yet again  DI 5 lines remain the preferred chose, fished with cat’s whisker and minkie boobies  and olive zonkers still are the favoured fly chose. Fish are still slowly moving towards the banks but not in large numbers as yet. Sun blest and bramble bay have produced some good catches of fish from the banks but the fish have been tight to the bottom The water clarity is still excellent and the water level has dropped a little more again this week, giving even better bank access.

Notts police held their annual match this week with a rod average of4.4 and some really nice looking trout amongst the bags.

Biggest fish this week goes to Mr K Fisher for his 6lbs rainbow. Mr G Mann netted a 5lbs fish from the bank in Flamingo bay on floating line with a weighted Damsel. Mr D Hemming was not far behind with a 4lbs 9oz fish also on a Damsel but using intermediate line.
