117 rods caught 427 trout, returning 245 fish for a rod average of 3.6
Good fishing continued this week with good numbers of fish coming to the boats down the centre of Carvers arm, and drifts above and below the cascade and along the dam wall. DI 3 and DI 5 lines remain the preferred chose, fished with cat’s whisker and minkie boobies. Some fish are now slowly moving towards the banks but not in large numbers as yet. The water clarity is still excellent and the water level has dropped a little more again this week, giving even better bank access.
Mr Darren Dodd had some good sport on Wednesday taking 14 fish on muddler and cat’s whisker on a Di3 line and roly poly retrieve. Saturday saw Mr John Grainy catch 11 trout as did Mr Scott Wilson again Di5 and cat’s whisker was Scott’s option.
