Foremark weekly fishing report week ending 16/09/12
120 rods caught 310 trout, returning 119 fish for a rod average of 2.5
The fishing this week has improved slowly throughout the week the fish have once again been very mobile moving up and down the water column during the day. With a predominantly west wind the fish are moving along the Ticknall bank from the Gorse bushes up to the car park area. The water clarity still remains good and the water level is slowly dropping allowing a little more room for the bank.
Best tactics have been, White and green lures (cats whiskers) booby’s, orange blobs patterns fished on sinking and intermediate lines and muddlers and hoppers on a floating line during the times when the trout are in the top layers.
Again the banks have remained a challenge this week with the some fish moving in flamingo bay and further out, by Verdons point and hut point
The Graham Tagg memorial pair’s boat match was held on Sunday 16th and a good day was had by all.
