Foremark fishing report week ending 05.08.2012
A steady weeks fishing, with 121 rods catching 241 trout, returning 127 fish for a rod average of 1.9
The more settled weather again this week has continued to help the fishing with fish starting to show in the bubbles and cascade. Fish are now feeding in the upper layers of the water during the cloudier parts of the day with dries, cdc’s cats whisker and damsel’s.
Damsel patterns fished on intermediate lines during the early part of the day and floating lines with cdc’s and dries have started to work in the evenings. The dam wall along both sides of the main basin are holding fish and also around the tower.
Water levels remain good and the clarity is now still good.
Best fish this week was a nice 5lbs 6oz rainbow one of eight taken by Mr M Jacks as part of a six fish limit, from open water. Mr S Wilson and Mrs I J Livingstone both had fish to 4lbs 8oz from the boils with damsels and damsel nymphs
Best patterns: Cats whisker, Dwial bach, Dries and Damsels.
