A challenging weeks fishing last week, with 119 rods catching 168 trout, returning 88 fish for a rod average of 1.4.
Again the weather this week has continued to dictate the fishing. Tactics started the same as last week with Buzzers and crunchers along with damsel patterns having produced the best results but as the week went on sinking lines and boobies along with minkies worked best and in the evenings some fish would rise to the dry. Water levels remain good and the clarity is now improving with the cooler weather. The banks have been a bit more of a challenge this week with fish moving along the dam wall and around the tower. Fish are still showing in open water as well, but not in large numbers.
Best fish this week was a nice 5lbs rainbow taken by Mr B Coombes as part of a six fish limit.
Best patterns: Buzzers, Boobies, Minkies and Damsels.
