Foremark fishing report week ending 24/06/2012

Posted by & filed under Reports.

Weather last week, strong wind and rain kept rods off the water which was a shame as the 96 rods who did fish caught 401 trout for a 4.2.

Great quality fish showing at this venue with Mr Castle recording 6 fish for 17lb with the best weighing 4lb 8oz. Mr Lancia and Mr Cravagan also recorded fish weighing 5lb, with Graham Hoffman recording a rainbow of 5lb 8oz.

The cooler than expected weather for the time of year is a blessing for the bank angler keeping the trout within their range. The aerators are on but with the cool water temperature the trout have no need to seek the cooler aerated water. Flamingo, Bramble and sunblest bay are the main area bank anglers should head for.

As you would expect for June the damsel fly is working well with a diawl bach and black and green tadpole also successful patterns this past week.
