Foremark fishing report week ending 03/06/2012

Posted by & filed under Reports.

A tough weeks fishing at this last week with 130 rods catching 220 trout, returning 89 fish for a rod average of 1.6

The weather this week is bringing the water temperature back down to where it should be for late May early June and not the height of summer temperatures we were experiencing.

Our water clarity is good again with the reservoir not far off full level.

Boats have enjoyed the better fishing this week with DI5 or intermediate lines best with blobs, damsel & buzzer patterns best.

We should expect to see some mayfly any time with carvers arms and in particular bramble bay the best area to locate these.

Best patterns: Booby’s, and deep fished Buzzers, cats whisker.
Hut point, Sun Blest and Bramble Bay, and along Carvers arm are the best areas for the bank anglers. The boats are now finding success in most of the Bays and along the dam wall.
